FAQ / WORKING WITH NEXTCHAIN
Questions before we build together
Straightforward answers about our services, delivery process, technology, pricing, and long-term support.
01
Services & fit
What services does Nextchain provide?
We design and build custom web applications, iOS and Android mobile apps, and digital products. We also provide IT consulting, architecture planning, system integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
What types of companies do you work with?
We work with startups, growing companies, and established organizations that need a new product, a modernization project, or additional engineering capacity. We shape the team and delivery approach around the product stage and business goals.
Can you improve or take over an existing product?
Yes. We can review an existing codebase, document risks and priorities, stabilize production issues, and plan a staged modernization. Access to the repository, infrastructure, and current documentation helps us assess the handover accurately.
02
Planning & delivery
How does a project usually begin?
We start with a discovery conversation about users, goals, constraints, timeline, and budget. We then clarify scope, recommend a technical approach, and agree on milestones, responsibilities, and communication before development starts.
How long does software development take?
A typical web or mobile MVP often takes around two to four months. Larger platforms may take six to twelve months or more. The final timeline depends on scope, integrations, design readiness, and review speed, so we confirm it after discovery.
How will I follow the project?
We use regular progress updates, milestone reviews, demos, and a shared issue tracker. You will have clear points of contact and visibility into current work, decisions, risks, and the next deliverables.
Can the scope change after development starts?
Yes. We assess the impact of requested changes on cost, schedule, and technical risk before adding them to the plan. Small refinements can often fit into an active milestone; larger changes are planned as a new phase or revised scope.
03
Technology & ownership
Which technologies do you use?
Our common stack includes React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript for web products, plus React Native and Flutter for mobile apps. We also work with cloud platforms and managed services such as AWS, GCP, Vercel, PostgreSQL, and Supabase when they fit the project.
Who owns the source code and product assets?
Project ownership, repository access, design files, infrastructure accounts, and third-party licenses are documented in the agreement. For client-funded custom development, deliverables are transferred according to the agreed contract and payment terms.
How do you handle security and confidentiality?
We limit access by role, avoid sharing production credentials in ordinary communication, and use appropriate development and review practices for the project. If you have specific compliance or NDA requirements, we review them during discovery.
04
Pricing & support
How much does a project cost?
Cost depends on product scope, design complexity, integrations, platforms, and delivery timeline. After an initial conversation, we can recommend a suitable engagement model and provide an estimate or phased proposal.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. We can provide post-launch monitoring, bug fixes, performance improvements, operating-system and dependency updates, and continued feature development under an agreed maintenance or product roadmap.
How can I contact Nextchain?
